Boyd Smith

He was a kind and loving person. When I was a young child he played guitar and we’d sing, “I wish I was a Teddy Bear”, “Rhinestone Cowboy” and “The Gambler“. I have no idea if they were popular songs then, likely, but they were our songs. From 6 - 19 years old. He would always stop by the house with his guitar. He knew I liked gum and I’d just put my hand in his pocket and sure enough there was a stick of gum. Every time. I can list traits; good and bad... hey no one is perfect. But it’s find memories I look back on and make me smile. That was ours. He could listen to a song for the first time and then play it Immediately after as if he’s been playing it years. Yeah.... my uncle Boyd. Or as he’d say my “Greatest Uncle” with a grin.
