After celebrating a Father's day barbecue at her parents home, Cheryl and fiance Ernest Arseneau and their friends Dale Heffler and Kathy Bradley were travelling back to the city. All four of them were killed on impact by an impaired driver whose license was suspended at the time of the incident and had been suspended several times for impaired driving related offences and charges and other offences over the last five years. His blood alcohol level was 4 times the legal limit. Cheryl was working as an auditor with the NS Government, enjoying life and about to marry her sweetheart Ernie. Life was good! And in the blink of an eye...gone! She was the best "big sister" to her 5 siblings, wonderful daughter of Norman and Sheila, and niece to Shirley, Glenda and Malcolm. Missed greatly by all!
