Candlelight Vigil 2025

Larry Boyle

August 8, 1954 - February 5, 2017

Crash Date: February 5, 2017

My father was on his way to the city from the rural when he was hit head on by an impaired driver in 2017. It was 1:30 in the afternoon. He was just going to get groceries, had his dog with him in the vehicle. Dog got scared and ran away from the accident. There is nothing worse then trying to get ahold of your father and husband on the phone not knowing that he was involved in the accident until about 3:30 that day. My son is a tow truck driver and was directing traffic that day on the highway. His boss informed the police officers that it was my son's grandpa in the accident; he let out a hauler that sounded like a siren. Dad was a truck driver all my life and was the first person in Canada to haul 3 53' trailers from Regina to Saskatoon as a pilot project for one year. He was a very compassionate husband, father, grandfather and I'm sure if he was here today would be an awesome great grandfather!
