Candlelight Vigil 2024

April Bramwell

September 2, 1980 - December 2, 2010

Crash Date: December 2, 2010

April loved animals and helping people which led to her pursuing a career as a LPN. If April could have lived off of Subway and Coca-Cola every day, I'm sure she would of as these were just some of her favorite things

When home, you would often see her with her fiancรฉ, Brian, her dog Brutus, her numerous kitties which she loved as she was the biggest animal lover I've ever seen.

If she was home in Glace Bay at da's, she wasn't far away from her side kick Nikayla and probably making a dangerously good meal and some sweets to go with it. April was the most caring individual in the world. She was the younger sister to Dawn and youngest daughter to Bill and Anna. She loved her family more then anything and was eagerly watching her 4 year old niece Bailey grow up and learn new things.

April's life was tragically cut short by a impaired driver on December 2nd, 2010, when he decided it was ok to drive impaired and crossed 4 lanes of traffic and hit us head on. My last memory of my aunt was her screaming and the state she was in when the crash was over (which was only seconds but felt like hours). Everyday since then myself and our family has struggled with coming to terms with the fact a grown man drove impaired and because of that our April is no longer here with us. April will never get married, never have kids, and there will be no more late night comedy shows on TV that were way too loud. She will never get to see her niece grow up, she will never help another patient and the world dimmed the day we lost her as her smile and personality was infectious . We miss April more and more every single day and find it hard to believe this year will mark 10 years without the sunshine on our cloudy days .

Please don't drive impaired .we miss our April we miss our life before a impaired driver changed it forever .
