This year Milly should be 8.
Here are 16 little pieces that made up my beautiful Milagros.
1. Milly sniffed each bite of food she held with her fingers before popping it into her mouth.
2. Dancing to Milly meant going to daddy and yelling "Up! Up!" so that he could bop around with her. If daddy wasn't around then whomever was the tallest would do.
3. Milly like to get into her jeep and be pushed around in it in the backyard by her Kuya Daniel.
4. Milly slept with her arm out to hug you close. Her favourite place to sleep was on her daddy's chest and she would wait up for him, "fake" sleeping until he came home from work so she could sleep there.
5. She loved to help out around the house by helping to feed the guinea pigs her pretty toys, toss her dishes up in the sink (she couldn't see over the edge of the counter) and to always put the same pair of socks away in her basket.
6. It took Milly a long time to walk on her feet but she learned how to use her knees to pivot, jump, run, walk and dance.
7. Milly liked to sit on her brothers, especially Kuya Harry when he was sleeping. After prayers and good night stories she would climb into Harry's bed and lay at the opposite end to him and pull her own covers up to "sleep" for a few minutes. Then she would climb out and wait for daddy in her special chair.
8. Milly was trying to hold her head up at 3 days old.
9. Milly always sang herself to sleep and rubbed her own head.
10. When she first met someone, she would stay very close to Nanay or daddy and just watch what was happening. She was slow to warm up but once she did she was all about the fun!
11. She had a perfect pincer grip that she used for colouring before 20 months old. She didn't start walking on her feet till she was almost 21 months.
12. Milly always had her "Esa" doll with her, which was really Anna. She loved to dress her, eat with her and play with her. In the car she had her duck.
13. Milly loved Barney, the big purple dinosaur.
14. Milly liked to hand her Kuya Harry a dress to wear and then want it back from him later by pointing at him saying "me!"
15. One of her earlier words was a sentence in Filipino - Ambot. Thanks Owa...
16. Milly liked to hold Papu's hand to walk around everywhere.

🌺 🐝 Adorable angel. I can only imagine how wonderful it was to kiss and nuzzle those cheeks! Impaired is the single most senseless and preventable crime. It ruins the lives of all it touches.
