Candlelight Vigil 2024

Chanelle Morgan

A daughter. A partner. A sister. A niece. A friend. An artist. A social worker and nurse. My cousin was a lot of things and wore many hats. The night she and her fiancé, Dr. Aneez Mohamed, were taken away from us they were in Granville Island in Vancouver (a place she loved to be in for it's atmosphere, people, and food) - a first night out since being sick a week before.

I remember growing up with her hanging out in our Gran's apartment in Toronto, drawing pictures and playing. Spending summer day's at her house in St Mary's Ontario and watching movies much too scary for our ages. My oldest friend and closest cousin.

She held such promise. She was a bright light in all of our lives with an innate ability to light up a room and make everyone feel like a million bucks. We miss her so much. We won't ever forget you both.
